Exercise

Exercise
Racehorses stay in stalls 24/7 and only come out to run. Thats your lamb. Racehorses are by far athletes, lambs are too. Again, treat your lamb like atriple crown winner. Body types differ in humans, and so it does to in lambs. Springsteen's exercise regimen is walking a half mile every other day, while Silverado's is jogging behind a Four Wheeler about three fourths of a mile every other day. Talk to the seller about your lambs exercise and build. Some lambs are bricks in a small package. Springsteen is definitely a little brick. Silverado is like a horse thats easy to keep in the winter. Silverado is going to be a little more of a challenge so that I can keep him at a god weight. It all depends on the Sire and the Dam. Talk talk talk about genetics yet again about finding an exercise regimen. When jogging, of course, let them warm up. Us people can't go from sitting on the couch for hours to jogging for 30 minutes. Then start jogging. Refer to horses while doing this; cantering is easier, but trotting is what makes them loose weight. Keep him at a "trotting" pace. And when done with exercise, bathe your lamb. Don't rinse of the soap... Again, don't start your lamb jogging at a mile. Ease up to a mile. Go one length for a week, and so on. Only do this every other day. The other day, you will be working on showing. That includes, walking  , bracing, and showmanship. Tomorrow I will be talking about how to show and what judges look for, then I will talk about fitting practicing showmanship. Please ask as many questions as you can. I will answer any questions...
